六味地黄煎剂对四氯化碳(CCl_4)和硫代乙酰胺(thioacetamide,TAA)所致小鼠肝损伤有较好的保护作用,明显降低由CCl_4和TAA引起的小鼠血清谷丙转氨酶(SGPT)
Three 'tonic-purgative' pairs (Rehmannia glutinosa-Aliisma orientate, Cornus officinalis-Paeonia suffrutiticosa, Dioscorea opposita-Poria cocos) in Liuwei Dihuang Decoction recipe were shown to decrease obviously the elevated SGPT activity induced by thioacetamide (TAA), but no inhibition of SGPT by carbon tetrachloride (CCl_4). There are differences among these three pairs and Liuwei Dihuang Decoction which was effective in lowering the elevated SGTP induced by CCl_4, TAA and prednisolone. The results indicate that whole recipe of Liuwei Dihuang Decoction possesses more potent protective action than that of any of three 'tonic-purgative' paris on liver injuries in mice. Their modes of action may be mediated via different ways and remain to be further investigated.
