The recent development and scope for future of functional foods in Japan

摘要 在过去10年中,日本的“特定健康食品(FOSHU)”种类上升到500种以上。根据其在体内作用的机理,目前的FOSHU产品可以被分为两大类。本文对这两类产品的发展近况和未来展望作了简短的概述。同时,本文还特别强调了相关学科领域—分子生物学领域—内生物标签研发方面的进展对FOSHU产品发展的重要支持和推动作用。 In last 10 years, the species of FOSHU product increased up to more than 500 in Japan. The current FOSHU products can be categorized according to the mechanism of their functions in vivo. The recent development and scope for future of those two categories of the products were outlined herewith. It was also emphasized in this review that the development of FOSHU products in future would be strongly supported and driven by progress in the filed of molecular biology, especially progress in the development of biomarker.
