摘要
两种文化的相遇发生着来自"域外"与来自"本土"的知识调适,本不难理解。问题的关键是,这一切如何发生,又产生了怎样的效果?透过晚清会通中西的具体文本,或许可以发现问题的枢机所在。因应于"采西学"的需求,晚清出版了多种西学汇编资料。从形式上看,这些资料是按照知识分科的架构对中译西书进行分类,究其实质却并非如此单纯。既然是"汇编",本身即意味着是针对传入的西学知识进行二度创造,亦即是"知识的再生产",因此颇有必要解析其中关乎本土文化的调适与回应,这也正是审视中西文化之调适与回应之主旨所在。
It is normal that two cultures meet and adapt to each other, and now we are intereated in how and what. Through a text-analysis of the document that had played a role of intermediator between China and the West in the late Qing Dynasty, we could perhaps find the answers. For the need of studying from the West, the late Qing published translated collections of western materials, which in form is sorted by the disciplinary system and in fact is the interpretation of the original, i. e. , knowledge reproduction. Therefore it is necessary to look into the adaption and response concerning Chinese culture, which is the aim of the study.
