Thyrotropin-releasing hormone(TRH)and amrinone(Amr)combined therapy couldrapidly and significantly increase mean arterial pressure(MAP),left ventricular systolic pressure(LVSP)and isovolumic ventricular pressure(IVP),improve the maximal rate of left ventricular pres-sure changes( ±dp /dtmax),accelerate the maximalphysiological velocity(Vpm)and velocity of thecontractile element shortening at 5.3 kPa of leftventricular pressure(Vce 40),and raise the area ofp-dp/dtmax vector loop(Lo)in the rabbits sub-jected to hemorrhagic shock The main parametersin TRH and Amr combined therapy group were su-perior to Amr group at the early period and to TRHgroup after administration.Morever,the combinedtherapy could increase the arterial bloodpH(P<0.01)and decrease the plasma β-glucuroni-dase activity significantly. TRH in combinationwith Amr could remarkably increase the 24 h surviv-al rate during endotoxic shock in mice as comparedwith normal saline group(P< 0.01).It was sug-gested that the combined therapy had more advan-tages than that of TRH or Amr alone in the treat-ment of shock.
