摘要
Thomas的语用失误“二分法”有优点 ,也有缺点。语用语言失误和社交语用失误具有较强的解释力 ,但它们无法解释某些失误现象。有必要改进 Thom as的语用失误分类理论 ,以便增强它的解释力。
Analyzed the merits and demerits in Thomas' dichotomous approach to pragmatic failure. While arguing that both pragmalinguistic failure and sociopragmatic failure may account for the learners' pragmatic failures, the authors also came up with exceptions which seem unaccountable in Thomas' framework. Accordingly, it was contended that Thomas' dichotomous approach be improved to sustain its explanatory adequacy.
