摘要
英国的中国学期刊是世界中国学的有机组成部分,也是透视中国学演进的媒介平台。英国的中国学期刊创办历程分为两个阶段:冷战期间的英美等国之间的跨国互动和21世纪至今的繁荣发展。英国的中国学的发展与外部政治、经济、社会的功利性需求密切相关,中国学期刊的创办受制于中英国际关系、中国经济的发展状况、国际利益格局的变化。在现实利益的驱动和学术发展的影响下,中国学期刊的创办具有实用主义与跨国合作的特色。通过对期刊创办缘起、语境和影响的梳理,可以呈现英国的中国学演进历程、思想观念与制约因素。
British Chinese Journals in the UK are an organic part of world Chinese Studies and a media platform for the evolution of Chinese Studies.The founding process of Chinese journals in the UK can be divided into two stages:transnational interaction between Britain and the United States during the Cold War;prosperity and development from the 21st century to the present.The development of Chinese Studies in the UK is closely related to the utilitarian needs of external politics,economy,and society.The founding of Chinese Studies journals is subject to changes in Sino-British international relations,the development of China’s economy,and the international interest structure.Driven by practical interests and influenced by academic development,the founding of Sinology journals has the characteristics of pragmatism and transnational cooperation.By sorting out the origin,context,and influence of the founding of journals,we can present the evolution of Chinese Studies in the UK,its ideas,and constraints.
