摘要
学院治理是高校治理的重要方面。美国研究型大学在学院治理上一直是高等教育领域的典范,引领着世界高等教育的潮流。本文分析了其学院治理的行政结构与学术结构,讨论学院治理内部的权力分配,院长、副院长、系主任的领导角色和职责以及教授委员等组织的运行,总结了美国高校学院治理的具体模式和治理理念。
College governance is an important aspect of university governance. The governance of research universities of America is regarded as a good model in terms of collegial governance, as well as a leading role in higher education.. This article analyzes administrative structures and academic structures of the school govern- ance. It furthermore discusses power division and leaders＇ role to summarize the collegial governance pattern and governance theories of American research universities, followed by an in-depth description with regard to the characters and advantages of the collegial governance of American universities and the function of professor committee. Finally, detailed implications will end this study by summarizing specific modes of American university governance and providing some suggestions.
