摘要
本文通过对比英汉两种语言发展动因,从语言自身和国家经济发展的维度探讨英语成为国际性语言的原因,解析汉语作为世界上最古老语言经久不衰以及在21世纪迅速走红的缘由。研究发现,汉字的象形特征可以负载很多文化意象,使它成为一种活语言或者历史活化石,它超越时空的特质可以把现在和过去连接起来;中国大门的打开和经济的腾飞是汉语走向世界的有力支撑。
By analyzing the motivations of the development of English and Chinese, we, first on the level of language itself, then on the level of the economic development of the two nations, expound the core reasons that English language can become an international language, and that the Chinese language could survive and have lasted for thousands of years as the oldest language in the world, and in the 21 century it is suddenly in favor all over the world： Its pictographic feature makes it possible for the Chinese language to contain a lot of euhural images, which makes the Chinese language a living language, or a living fossil of the Chinese history and culture. In other words, this feature can make Chinese language go beyond time and space, and connect the present with the past; What＇s more, the Opening-up policy adopted by China sinee 1978 and China＇ s rapid economie development are the key factors for the popularity of the Chinese language in the world today.
