摘要
量词不是英语中的正式词类,但英语中存在一类词,它们在功能上与汉语中的量词相近。本文以英汉情感域中的表量结构对比为基础,说明英汉情感域的名量搭配具有隐喻性,量词所代表的认知域与名词所代表的情感域是互动的映射关系。
Classifier is not a formal word class in English, whereas English has an open class of words which are functionally similar to classifiers in Chinese. Based upon the contrast between classifier structures of the emotion domains in English and Chinese, this paper observes that the classifier - noun collocations in the two languages are metaphorical in nature and that there are interactive mappings between the cognitive domain of classifiers and the emotion domain of nouns. We also find that the classifiers of the emotion domain in Chinese, for the most part, demonstrate a higher level of grammaticalization, and that the classifiers of the emotion domain in English are, mostly, semantically meaningful.
