摘要
本文对应用翻译学的名与实进行了细察。术语"应用翻译学"作为偏正结构的"名"有三种切分:应用翻译+学;应用+翻译学;应用+翻译+学,其"实"之一是研究应用翻译、译论的应用、其他学科用于译(学)的规律的学科;由此决定其"实"之二,即学科的框架:本体学科与关系学科,本体学科考察应用翻译及其研究本身,关系学科考察翻译(学)与相关学科的关系。
This paper attempts to explore the name and nature of ＂yingyongfanyixue＂ （Applied Translatology）. In terms of its name, the term as a grammatical construction may be analyzed in three ways： yingyongfanyi ＋ xue （study of applied translation）, yingyong ＋ fanyixue （applied translatology）; yingyong ＋ fanyi ＋ xue （study of the application of translation）. In terms of its nature, ＂yingyongfanyixue＂ is a discipline which studies applied translation, the application of translation theories, and the laws governing the application of other disciplines to translation studies. Accordingly, the term may be interpreted as the framework of discipline, including the discipline proper and relevant disciplines, an investigation of applied translation from the discipline proper and research of the discipline itself, and an investigation of applied translation from relevant disciplines and their relationships.
