摘要
《六祖坛经》英译始于黄茂林先生,黄先生《六祖坛经》英译本在佛经翻译史上占有重要的地位,黄先生英译本语言流畅,翻译风格清新,使用了多种翻译手段,是个难得的好译本。但是,黄先生《六祖坛经》英译本也同样存在着佛经英译中普遍反映的难点问题,相关研究可资佛经英译参考。
The English translation of the Sutra Spoken by the Sixth Patriarch began from Mr. Huang Maolin, Mr.Huang＇s English translation of the Sutra Spoken by the Sixth Patriarch occupies an important position in the history of the translation of Buddhist scriptures. The language of Mr. Huang＇s English translation is fluent with pure and fresh style, using a variety of translation methods; it is a rare good translation. Mr. Huang＇s translation of Sutra Spoken by the Sixth Patriarch embodies the common difficulties of English translation of Buddhist scriptures, the related research can provide reference for the future translation of Buddhist scriptures.
