In this paper the natural wood powder F691 was modified by carboxymethyl reaction,grafting reaction and Mannich reaction to prepare a new amphoteric flocculant(CGAAC),the optimal structure conditions for the preparation of CGAAC were determined.The flocculation properties of CGAAC toward the water of kaolinite were also studied, the experimental results showed that CGAAC have wider optimal dosage and pH value for flocculation.
