摘要
认知语言学的兴起为人类语言一词多义现象的研究提供了新的视角。本文在对隐喻和转喻的概念理解的基础上,运用隐喻和转喻认知思维模式对汉语"手"和英语"hand"做语料对比分析,分析了"手"的词义在汉语和英语中的义项拓展,分析了其多个义项产生的内在机制和可能性,从而也有力地证明了隐喻和转喻不仅是一种语言现象,更是人类思维和认知的重要工具。
Cognitive Linguistics brings new perspective for polysemy in languages.Based on understanding of the concepts of metaphor and metonymy,this article tries to analyze Chinese and English corpus of hand by using cognitive thinking models of metaphor and metonymy,to analyze the extension of word meaning of hand in English and Chinese and to analyze inherent mechanism and possibility of generation of meanings.Meanwhile,it proves that metaphor and metonymy are not only a kind of language phenomena,but also important tools for thinking and cognition.
