On Engineering Education from the Perspective of Science & Technology and Humanity

摘要 在工程教育中,加强科技教育与人文教育紧密地联系与融合是促进工程教育的发展和改革的关键因素。首先,工程教育的课程设置应不断走向通识化、综合化和复合化。其次,应该注意到人文教育与工程教育结合的时代性、文化性和特殊性,提升工程教育的内涵和品质。再次,以通才教育和通识教育为抓手,在工程教育中实现科技教育与人文教育的有机联系与融合;通过借鉴STS教育的成功经验和做法,使科技教育与人文教育在工程教育中得到更好地结合。最后,科技进步、社会发展与工程教育自身的特点和属性推动着工程教育走向终身教育。 In modern society, the relations between science and technology, humanity and engineering are becoming closer and closer. As a result, it is urgent and important for engineering education to be connected and integrated with sci-tech and humanity education in order to enhance its own development and reformation. First of all, the curriculum for engineering education should, on the basis of absorbing those of science and technology education, become generalized, integrated and compound. Then, we should pay attention to the epochal, cultural and special characteristics of the combination of humanity education and engineering one and make them organically combined through practical measures to enrich its content and improve its quality as well. Next, we should find practical method for general education to realize the combination of sci-tech and humanity education in engineering education, and to make them better combined by learning the successful experience of STS one. At last, it is sci-tech and social development, the nature and characteristics of engineering education that help to turn engineering education into a lifelong one.
