摘要
格赖斯的合作原则一直被应用于口头会话研究,而翻译作为一种语言交际行为,与口头交际具有本质上的共性即交际性。基于此,该原则对翻译行为同样具有良好的解释力及指导意义,即译者要用符合译语规范和读者期待的方式完整、准确地复制原文信息和风格,目的是最大限度地使译语读者和原作者取得成功交际。
Grice＇s Cooperative Principle is generally accepted as a principle that can be applied to interpret oral conversations, however, based on the communicative nature shared by translation and oral conversation, the principle can also be applied to interpret and guide translation practice, i. e. , to faithfully convey to the target reader as mueh information as that of the original text, in a way which maximally represents the style of the source text and meets the target reader＇s expectation so as to guarantee the successful communication between the target reader and writer.
