摘要
运用数理统计软件,对124名学生2003年专业八级统考中汉译英、英译汉成绩与其他“纯”英语技能(听力、阅读、改错、写作等)成绩的关系进行了定量研究,该研究旨在客观地揭示英语专业学生外语能力与翻译能力之间的关系,以及外语教学与翻译教学之间的相互联系,文章对该研究的结果进行了深入的讨论,并阐述了它们对翻译教学的启示。
The author of this paper uses SPSS software to make a quantitative study of the correlation between the scores of TEM 8 C-E translation, E-C translation, and the scores of other "pure" English language Skills such as listening, reading, proof-reading. The TEM g test was taken by 124 English majors in 2003. The study aims to reveal the relationship between the translating competence and the foreign language competence of English majors as well as the correlation between foreign language teaching and translation teaching. In this paper, the author makes an in-depth discussion on the result of quantitative analysis done in this study and expatiates on the revelation of the result on translation teaching.
