摘要
为研究癞葡萄水提物对正常小鼠及四氧嘧啶型糖尿病小鼠血糖浓度的影响,将不同剂量(250mg/kg体重、500mg/kg体重和750mg/kg体重)的水提物灌胃给予禁食12h的正常小鼠和四氧嘧啶型糖尿病小鼠。试验结果表明,癞葡萄水提物对正常小鼠的血糖浓度没有影响,而对四氧嘧啶型糖尿病小鼠的血糖浓度有显著影响。其中500mg/kg剂量组糖尿病小鼠的血糖值在灌胃4h后较相应的初始血糖值下降45.28%,糖尿量提高38.39%;给予500mg/kg水提物治疗15d后,糖尿病小鼠血糖值较治疗前下降59.88%,同时对小鼠体重的恢复有一定的促进作用。结果表明癞葡萄水提物对四氧嘧啶型糖尿病小鼠具有良好的预防和治疗效果。
The objective of this study was to investigate the hypoglycemic effect of an aqueous extract from Momordica charantia L. Var. abbreviata Ser. (cucurbitaceace family, MCV) fruit in normal and alloxan-induced diabetic rats. For this purpose, the aqueous extract was administrated at different doses(250mg/kg body weight, 500mg/kg body weight and 750mg/kg body weight) to both the normal and alloxan-induced rats after an overnight fast. The results showed that a single dose administration of aqueous extract from MCV fruit didn't produce any hypoglycemic activity in normal healthy rats, while there was a significant hypoglycemic effect in diabetic rats, A maximum fall of 45.28% was observed after 4h with oral administration of aqueous extract at a dose of 500mg/kg. At the same dose, there was a significant improvement in glucose tolerance of 38.39% in diabetic rats in oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT). Treatment of alloxan-induced rats for 15 days with aqueous extract at a dose of 500mg/kg produced 59.88% fall in fasting blood glucose level as well as effectively suppressed the weight loss in diabetic rats. The results demonstrated that the aqueous extract from MCV fruit was effective in preventing diabetes mellitus.
