The role of the transcription factor NFAT in T cells and asthma

摘要 活化T细胞核因子(NFAT)是一类具有多向调节功能的转录因子,在活化T细胞中,NFAT能与许多其它信号转导系统的转录因子在核内相互作用,完成不同信号间整合,激活特异性的基因表达。NFAT可能在Th0细胞的分化中起重要作用,并能调节Th2细胞因子的产生,在变态反应性疾病中具有重要意义。NFAT与哮喘也有很密切的关系。 The nuclear factor of activated T cells (NFAT) is a family of transcription factors having diverse function of the regulation. Not only NFAT proteins can interact with different transcription-factor partners in the nucleus, and also they are important integrators of calcium signaling with many other signaling pathways in T cells and activate specific gene expression. NFAT proteins may play an important role in Th0-cell development and allergy diseases, and also regulate production of Th2 cytokines. Thus, NFAT proteins can take part in the development of asthma.
