摘要
汉英两种文化中都有大量与动物相关的词汇,然而任何一种语言中的动物词语都不仅仅是动物形象的符号代表,它们和文化密不可分,是文化的载体。因此,只有掌握了丰富的语言文化知识,深入地了解汉英的文化传统和风俗习惯的统一性和差异性,才能真正学好英语并成功的进行跨文化交际。
In both Chinese and English culture exist a great number of animal idioms. As a cultural carrier, animal idioms are not only symbols of animal figures, but closely linked with its culture. Thus, only by way of enriching one＇ s knowledge of culture, furthering the understanding of the convergence and divergence of Chinese and English traditions and customs, and attaining a deeper understanding of cross cultural communication issues can one truly succeed in learning English well.
