Polar stationary phase diethylene glycol succi-nate (DEGS) has been successfully immobilized with ATB as the initiator on the fused-silica capillary column. The results indicated that the inertness, the column efficiency, the thermal stability and the cross-linking efficiency were good. The surface of of fused-silica columns deactivated with DEGS had low surface activity and satisfactory wet-tability.
