Based on the introduction to physico-chemical properties of titanium, the effects of titanium in different types of steels and its proper content range were explained.Proper amount titanium in cast irons has the effect of removing oxygen, degassing, avoiding nitrogen blowhole and promoting D-type graphite formation.The influence of titanium on cast irons was described in detail that would be helpful to the foundry enterprises to correctly understand the effects of titanium in castings production.
