摘要
对小径桦木在大气及干燥室等不同条件下干燥后的材性进行了测试,结果表明:不同干燥条件对小径桦木的材性有影响。室干材的尺寸稳定性、变形程度及力学性能均优于气干材;采用软干燥基准时,可改善小径木的尺寸稳定性和力学性能,从而提高干燥质量。从总体材性指标可见,小径木更适合室内干燥。
In order to determine the effect of different drying conditions on the quality of timber, small diameter plantation grown Birch (Betula platyphylla and B. costata) logs were either air dried or kiln dried. Property indexes such as dimensional stability, deformation degree, hardness and cleavage strength were tested and the results were analyzed. According to the data, the authors found that the quality of the logs that were kiln-dried was better than those that were air-dried. They also found there were differences in properties in the kiln-dried logs dried under different drying schedules. A milder schedule based on relatively lower temperature and higher humidity could bring better drying quality. From the results, the authors concluded that kiln drying small diameter plantation grown timber produced better results than air drying.
