A review about the developed and the developing preparative methods of dimethyl carbonate is made in this short paper, analyzing the process and technology involved, pointing out their current situation and the developing tendency along with the key technology of dimethyi carbonate synthesis, prospecting the ultimate goal of preparation technology for the fine chemical.
