Synthesis of Propylene Carbonate from Urea and 1,2-Propylene Glycol over Metal Carbonates

摘要 研究了多种单组分金属碳酸盐和铅锌混合碳酸盐对尿素和1,2-丙二醇合成碳酸丙烯酯反应的催化性能。结果表明,单组分盐中碳酸铅催化活性最高,其次是碳酸锌;而混合盐中Ph/Zn摩尔比为3:1时催化活性最高。通过正交实验优化了反应条件,在反应温度160℃,反应时间2 h,尿素与1,2-丙二醇摩尔比1:5,催化剂用量1.8%的条件下,碳酸丙烯酯的收率可达98.90%。 Catalytic activities of a series of metal carbonates and mixed carbonates in the synthesis of propylene carbonate ( PC ) from urea and 1,2 - propylene glycol were investigated. It showed that among single-component carbonates, lead carbonate gave the highest catalytic performance, followed by zinc carbonate, and that among mixed carbonates the catalyst with molar ratio of Pb to Zn 3:1 led to the most excellent catalytic activity. Furthermore, it was concluded from optimization experiments that the optimal reaction conditions were as follows:the reflux time 2 hours, the molar ratio of 1,2 -propylene glycol to urea 5.0: 1, the dosage of the catalyst 1.8% and the reflux temperature 160 ℃, resulting in a PC yield of 98.90%.
