摘要
自从教育部把比较文学和世界文学这门学科设置在中文系，我就感到奇怪，为什么中文系有“世界文学”的课程设置?因为在我看来，中文系从师资到学科都很难具备这样的条件。后来我才明白。
Editor s Note: The second 'PKU-FDU Comparative Literature Symposium' was held in Fu Dan University on November 25 and 26, 2003. The experts of comparative literature from these two schools discussed the course limit and identity of comparative literature, the relationship between comparative literature and world literature, and up-to-date tendencies in the development of this course. On the basis of the last symposium, they continued the questions of the selection of necessary books for the students of this course, of teaching patterns, of the operation of the communication between these two schools in this field and the creation of their own home pages, etc. During the meeting, all the teachers from the Institute of Comparative Literature of Beijing University met the graduate students from Fu Dan University, answering their questions about the course characteristics and the interaction of teachers and students in comparative literature class. Some speeches and the booklist selected at this meeting will be published in this magazine in two issues.
