Neuron specific enolase and traumatic brain injury

摘要 神经元特异性烯醇化酶(NSE)是一种参与糖代谢功能酶,特异性位于神经元细胞。当神经元坏死时会释放入血液和脑脊液中,通过测定这一生化指标,可以了解外伤性脑损伤(TBI)的严重程度和预后。文章综述了NSE和TBI近年来的研究现状,认为NSE可能作为一项生化指标,为TBI诊断提供新的手段。 Neuron specific enolase (NSE) is a glycolytic enzyme, which is localized specifically to the neuronal cyloplasm and has been proposed as a biochemical marker of neuronal cell damage. The release levels of NSE into seram and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) with traumatic brain injury (TBI) were monitored as a relevant biochemical marker for assessing the lesion degree and the prognosis of TBI. In this article, the author summarizes published primary research on NSE and TBI from the present literature, arguing that NSE is a high specific and sensitive marker for judging the outcome and the severity of brain insult, which probably contributes to the diagnosis of TBI.
