摘要
翻译不仅是语言转换的过程,更是权力运作与知识建构的场域。韦努蒂提出的文化翻译理论赋予了翻译抵抗文化霸权、促进文化多元发展的使命,在学界影响深远。福柯的权力话语理论深刻阐释了权力、知识与话语之间的内在联系,为理解韦努蒂的文化翻译理论提供了全新视角。然而,从福柯权力话语理论深入审视,发现韦努蒂的理论存在明显局限。基于此,翻译策略的选择应是动态、多元的平衡过程,译者需要在尊重源语差异性与关照目标语读者接受程度之间寻求平衡。
Translation is not only a linguistic conversion but also a field where power operates and knowledge is constructed.Venuti’s cultural translation theory endows translation with the mission of resisting cultural hegemony and promoting cultural diversity,exerting a profound influence in academic circles.Foucault’s theory of power discourse provides a deep explanation of the intrinsic connections among power,knowledge,and discourse,offering a new perspective for understanding Venuti’s cultural translation theory.However,an in-depth analysis from the perspective of power discourse reveals significant limitations in Venuti’s theory.Based on this,the choice of translation strategy should be a dynamic and multifaceted process of balance,where translators need to seek equilibrium between respecting the differences of the source language and considering the acceptability of the target language readers.
