在全球化与中国文化“走出去”深入推进的背景下,探索文化交流与文明互鉴的翻译之道具有重要的现实意义与学术价值,当代翻译学者许钧对此作出了具有系统性与独创性的理论探索。许钧将翻译锚定为人类以符号为根基与中介建构意义世界的跨文化交际活动,高扬翻译在人类发展中的文化价值以及翻译中人的主体地位。许钧翻译思想聚焦人类文化本质的确证与发展,其核心命题可凝练为“翻译是人类文化存在的建构力量”,其思想洞见在于揭示了翻译的人文本质以及翻译建构与巩固文化主体性的方法论价值,其具体内涵表征为:翻译生成文化主体的自我认同、翻译塑造文化主体的自为意识、翻译涵养文化主体的生命活力。
As a renowned contemporary translation scholar,Xu Jun views translation as an intercultural communication activity through which human beings construct the world of meaning with symbols as the basis and intermediary,highlighting the cultural value of translation in human development and the role of human beings as the subject in translation.His translation thoughts focus on the confirmation and development of the cultural essence of human beings,of which the core proposition could be concluded as"translation is a constructive force for human existence as cultural beings".
