摘要
蓝宝石单晶因具有高硬度、高熔点、化学稳定性及优异光学透过性等特性,在光学元件、电子器件衬底等领域应用广泛。高质量、大尺寸蓝宝石单晶的生长技术是蓝宝石晶体生长领域的关键,本文综述了焰熔法、提拉法、泡生法、热交换法、导模法及水平布里奇曼法等主流生长方法,对比了不同方法的晶体质量、生长效率、成本及适用范围。并分析了蓝宝石晶体生长中的常见缺陷(位错、气泡、开裂、杂质原子及色心等)及其成因。最后,展望了蓝宝石在5G通信、量子信息技术等新兴领域的应用前景,指出持续优化生长技术对推动材料科学及相关产业升级的战略意义。
Sapphire single crystals are widely used in optical components,electronic device substrates and other fields due to their high hardness,high melting point,chemical stability and excellent optical transmittance.The growth technology of high-quality and large-sized sapphire single crystals is the key to materials science research.This paper reviews the mainstream growth methods such as flame melting method,lifting method,bubble growth method,heat exchange method,mold guiding method and horizontal crystallization method,and compares the crystal quality,growth efficiency,cost and application scope of different methods.In addition,the common defects in the growth of sapphire crystals(such as dislocations,bubbles,cracks,impurity atoms and color centers,etc.)and their causes were analyzed.Finally,the application prospects of sapphire in emerging fields such as 5G communication and quantum information technology were prospected,and the strategic significance of continuously optimizing growth technology in promoting the upgrading of materials science and related industries was pointed out.
