摘要
原产澳洲的棉属野生种比克氏棉(G.bickii Prokh 2n=26,染色体组符号2G■的休眠种子中,种仁上没有腺体,种子萌发后在生长过程中,才在棉株内形成腺体。这个特性如能转育到栽培棉种陆地棉(G.hirsutum L.)上,既可获得无棉毒素棉仁,又不会因棉株无腺体降低抗虫能力,因此具有重大经济意义。但由于陆地棉与比克氏棉亲缘关系很远,转育比克氏棉性状于陆地棉难度很大。
G.arboreum L.was crossed with G.bickii Prokh in 1979 and hybrid seeds were btained Several important morphological characters of Fplants were studied in comparison with their parents.It was found that the expression of most of the morphological characters inclined towards the paternal species G.biokii.The chromosome behaviour of the Fhybrid at metaphase I was 161+5Ⅱ,and on multivalents were observed.The mean number of chiasmata per bivalents was 1.13.Owing to the anomalous behaviour of univalents during both heterotypic and homotypic divisions,the distribution of chromosomes to daughter nuclei was unequal,and in some cases multipolar distribution of chromosomes was observed.Thus.almost all of the tetrads were abnormal and microspores produced were sterile.
