Meridian and Acupoints is a basic course of acupuncture, which is important for students of Chinese medicine to learn and understand acupuncture. The theory of Meridian Acupoints originates from acupuncture and moxibustion classics which are rich in academic theory, philosophy, and traditional culture, and serves as an important source of ideological and political elements of the curriculum. Therefore, integrating the acupuncture and moxibustion classics into the ideological education of Meridian and Acupoints can not only enhance the attractiveness of the ideological education but also conform to the goal of the ideological education. In this context, this paper proposes a three-dimensional framework for exploring the civic-political elements of acupuncture and moxibustion classics, and realizes the transformation of the ideological and political elements through the paths of reshaping the cultural identity of traditional Chinese medicine and cultivating a scientific mode of thinking, laying the foundation for cultivating high-quality acupuncture and moxibustion talents and promoting the development of traditional Chinese medicine.
