Firm Profile London architect Alison Brooks was born and raised in Canada and studied architecture at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo,Ontario.After graduating in 1988,she moved to London and began a seven-year collaboration with designer Ron Arad.In 1996,she founded Alison Brooks Architects(ABA).This London-based studio employs cultural research as both catalyst for community engagement and for new forms of architectural expression.The practice’s built works demonstrate commitment to generous,inclusive city-building supported by a uniquely sculptural design language evident across their large scale masterplans and mixed-use developments,higher education buildings,private houses and public buildings for the arts.
