As the increasing demand for renewable energy, solar cells,as a sustainable core carrier of clean energy technology, have been widely concerned.Monocrystalline silicon solar cells, with their advantages of low cost and high reliability, have become the dominant technology in the photovoltaic market after decades of development. This article systematically reviews the technological progress and research status of monocrystalline silicon cell technology from the perspective industrialization development. It mainly introduces the structural characteristics, performance advantages, and preparation processes of four typical types of monocrystalline silicon solar cells, including passivated emitter and rear contact(PERC)cells, tunnel oxide passivated contact(TOPCon)cells, heterojunction(HJT)cells and full back contact(BC)cells. It further points out the current challenges faced by the industrialization of high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon solar cells. Finally,it looks forward to the technological development trends from aspects such as the improvement of silicon wafer lifespan, graphical solutions and metallization technology.
