摘要
文章基于2008—2021年中国251个地级及以上城市的市域面板数据,在考虑智慧城市试点选择性偏误的条件下,利用渐进双重差分模型检验了智慧城市建设对市域经济韧性的影响及其作用机制。研究发现:①智慧城市建设能够通过提升市场活力,促进科技创新和推动城市数字化转型等路径提升市域经济韧性水平,且该结果在剔除各类干扰样本和更换多种回归方法的条件下依然稳健。②异质性检验表明,智慧城市建设能够显著提升人口规模较小、金融供给水平较低和外贸依赖度适中城市的市域经济韧性水平。该结论为继续推进中国智慧城市建设和提升市域经济韧性提供了经验支持。
Based on the panel data of 251 prefecture-level cities in China from 2008 to 2021 and taking into account the selective bias of smart city pilot projects,this article uses the progressive difference-in-differences model to test the impact and mechanism of smart city construction on urban economic resilience.It's found that:1)The construction of smart cities can enhance the resilience of the urban economy by improving market vitality,promoting technological innovation,and driving urban digital transformation.Moreover,this result remains robust even after removing various interference samples and replacing multiple regression methods.2)Heterogeneity testing shows that the construction of smart cities can significantly improve the economic resilience of cities with small population size,low financial supply level,and moderate dependence on foreign trade.This conclusion provides empirical support for continuing to promote the construction of smart cities in China and enhancing urban economic resilience.
