摘要
叶芝抒情诗歌中存在大量的风景书写,既包括现实的自然风景,也包含诗人对于风景的想象、诠释和运用以及风景作为符码和媒介在诗人进行文化建构中的作用。叶芝笔下的风景书写可呈现湖岛与海岛、圣山与圣峰、庄园与塔堡三个层次,在反映、投射现代文明文化甚至形塑爱尔兰民族身份认同方面具有指涉作用、隐喻效应和话语功能。对叶芝抒情诗歌中的风景书写进行解读可以打通叶芝的风景书写与爱尔兰民族身份认同的关系,发掘叶芝的风景书写与东西方哲学、宗教、艺术和文学传统的内在联系,深刻揭示以叶芝为代表的爱尔兰现代主义作家对待现代文明的文化、政治立场。
Landscape is abundant in Yeats’ s lyrics, including the real natural landscape, the poet’s imagination, interpretation and application of landscape, and the role of landscape as a code and medium in cultural construction. The landscape in Yeats’ s lyrics can be presented on three levels: the lake isle and the island, the holy mountain and the holy peak, and the manor and the tower. It has a role of reference, a metaphorical effect and a discourse function in reflecting modern civilization and culture, even shaping the national identity of Ireland. This essay intends to combine landscape with the national identity of Ireland, to explore the inner connection of Yeats’ s landscape with Eastern and Western philosophy, religion, art and literary tradition, and to reveal profoundly the cultural and political standpoint of Irish modernist writers represented by Yeats on modern civilization.
