摘要
"英国学派"的世界社会观是"英国学派"理论多元主义的体现,也是超越传统国际关系理论范式二元对立的重要依据。从查尔斯·曼宁到巴里·布赞,几代"英国学派"学者对世界社会的探索推动了世界社会的概念化。"英国学派"的世界社会观有两种类型,即古典规范性解释和布赞的结构性解释,这两种解释分别存在缺陷。基于此,进一步反思世界社会产生所带来的深刻社会转型、所需要的文化根源和变革机制可以发现,"英国学派"的世界社会构想是高度理论化和思辨抽象化的,并没有为人们提供世界社会的清晰形象和未来图景,世界社会被看作乌托邦也是有因可循的。
The English School’s view of world society is the embodiment of the English School’s theoretical pluralism and an important basis for transcending the binary opposition of the traditional IR theory paradigm.From Charles Manning to Barry Buzan,several generations of English School scholars promoted their conceptualization of world society.The English School identifies two types of views of world society,namely,the classical normative interpretation and Barry Buzan’s structural interpretation.Both have their merits and flaws.By further reflecting on social transformation,cultural roots,and transformation mechanisms brought about by the emergence of the world society,we conclude that the English School’s conception of world society is a highly theoretical abstraction which fails to provide a clear image of the world society and its future prospects.
