摘要
对GMT绘图软件和辽宁地形地貌特点进行了简要介绍,在此基础上利用GMT软件绘制了辽宁省二维和三维地形图,给出详细的绘制流程和相关命令的解释。通过对比ArcGIS软件绘制的二维专题图,表明GMT软件更好地凸显地形图的山体阴影效果,为后续GMT在此方面的应用提供了一些参考。
This paper briefly introduces the GMT drawing software which is commonly used in geoscience field and required terrain features of Liaoning province. Based on the previous description,3-dimensional and 2-dimensional relief maps for Liaoning Province are plotted by GMT software respectively. Moreover, the drawing procedures and codes are discussed in detail,as well as the explanation for corresponding painting effect. According to the comparison with 2D relief map by ArcGIS software,GMT has an obvious advantage in displaying the hatching effect of mountains and hills. This study is potentially useful for subsequent application of GMT for picturing various thematic maps.
