[Objective] To define the resistance type of fresh-eating corn hybrids to northern corn leaf blight.[Method] Fifty commercial fresh-eating corn hybrids to northern corn leaf blight was assessed based on identification of physiological races of Setosphaeria turcica under natural infection.[Result] The race 0,1,2,12 were found from the 17 strains collected from 5 urban areas in Qiqihar region. And,the race 0 and 1 were the dominant races with 52.9% and 29.4% of the total, respectively. There were significant differences in resistance of 50 fresh-eating corn hybrids to S.turcica. To determine resistance of the 50 commercial fresh-eating corn hybrids to northern corn leaf blight, two hybrids (Wancainuo 3 and Sida 44) showed immunity.Out of 50 hybrids, twenty commercial hybrids (Hanuo 2018,Luzhongnuo167 and Xiaohuangnuo, etc.) were high resistance.Eighteen commercial hybrids (Bainuo 1308,Bainuo 118 and Kennian1,etc) were resistance. And four hybrids (Nuozhongyu 368,Jinnuo 262,Mitiannuo 2 and Bainuo 8301) were susceptible.Meanwhile six hybrids (Jingkenuo 2010,Baitiannuo 8302 and Huangtiannuo 8401,etc.) were highly susceptible.[Conclusion] The study can provide the theoretical basis for selection and rational distribution of resistant hybrids of fresh-eating corn.
