阐述了中外知名大学校长的角色定位和基本素质要求 ,对中外知名大学校长的选拔条件、选拔制度、管理体制和校长职权进行了比较研究 ,提出了中国知名大学管理体制改革中权力结构调整的三个原则 ,行政权力与学术权力适当分离 ;权力重心适当下移 ;
In the paper are depicted the role setting and basic quality requirements of Presidents of Famous Universities both at home and abroad and a comparative study is made regarding their selection conditions, selection system, management system and authorities of presidents. With the re adjustment of the structure of functions and powers in the reform of the management system of China's famous universities, three principles, i.e., adequate separation of administrative and academic powers, adequate downward movement of power center and adequate decentralization of powers are presented.
