摘要
在全球化的大背景下,世界各地的联系愈加紧密,来中国的游客、商务人士日益增多。地铁公示语的英译是否和谐统一,对跨文化交流有着极大的影响。地铁公示语在日常生活中扮演着必不可少的角色,正确的英译为广大国际游客的出行提供了便利,为本地居民的英语学习搭建了平台,同时也为城市语言生态环境建设贡献了一份力量。国内从生态视角对地铁公示语英译做研究尚在少数。以西安地铁公示语英译为例,从生态翻译学视角探讨中国地铁公示语的英译现状及其交际翻译策略。
With the globalization, an ever increasing number of tourists and business people come to China. The quality of C - E translation for metro public signs has great effects on intercultural and cross - cultural communica-tion. The metro public signs play an indispensable role in our daily life. Correct C - E translation provides not only a significant guidance for many foreigners travelling in China, but an English - learning channel for local people as well. In addition, it makes a contribution to the construction of urban ecological environment of language. Besides, there are few studies on translation of metro public signs from the perspective of eco - translatology in China. This paper aims to make an analysis on some misunderstandings and problems existing in translation of metro public signs in Xian and their communicative translation strategies from the perspective of eco - translatology.
