摘要
《阿Q正传》是鲁迅先生的代表作品,其叙事技巧既独特新颖又具有一定的代表性。译者对原作整体叙事技巧的把握和处理能够影响作品整体艺术效果的创造,因而从叙事学视角研究翻译作品可以从形式和内容两个方面准确地解读原文。然而,现有文献对其英译的研究大都忽略了其叙事学特征。本文从叙事学视角出发,采用定量和定性研究相结合的方法,从人物话语表达方式和叙述视角两个方面对《阿Q正传》的两个英译本——杨宪益、戴乃迭译本和蓝诗玲译本进行了对比分析。研究发现:两译本基本再现了原文的叙事特征,然而由于汉英语言习惯不同,译者在叙事策略和技巧选择上呈现出一定的差异。在人物话语表达上,杨氏译本的翻译对应重合度高于蓝诗玲译本;在叙述视角转换方面,译者在保留原文本叙述视角的基础上,表现出从第一人称叙述视角向第三人称叙述视角转换的倾向。
A Q Zheng Zhuan, a masterpiece by Lu Xun, is of significant cultural value and unique representation. The mastery of the original by the translator and process have an immense influence on the creation of the whole artistic effect of the works, the original can thus be decoded if interpreted from form and content when studied from narratological perspective. The research obtained so far is overlooked in the translated versions. This paper makes a comparative study of the English versions ofA Q Zheng Zhuan by either Yang Xianyi and Dai Naidie and the other by Lan Shiling in narration and expression with quantitative and qualitative methods from narratological perspective, and discovers that both represent the characteristics of the original, while there are also some differences in the choice of strategies applied and the narrative methods. And in the expressions of the characters concerned the translated of Yang performs better than that of Lan in meaning matching, while in narrative perspective transforming, the translator goes more from the first person to the third person perspectives while keeping the taste of the original.
