摘要
提高大学生英语口语能力是增强大学英语教学实用性的一个重要方面。为此从大学生的口语现状分析入手 ,阐述了当今社会给口语能力的提高带来的挑战和机遇 。
Improving college students' English speaking competence is now one of the important aspects of college English teaching in China. This paper presents a whole picture of how well average college students speak English, points out how important it is to be able to speak English in present day society, and finally proposes how to improve students' English speaking competence both in and outside the classroom.
