The major applications of nanotechnology in polymer materials include: adding nanometer powder (particles) into polymer substrate materials to improve its properties, polymerizing of monomer inside of the layers of inorganic filler and blending of polymer into the filler to prepare nanocomposite, blocking copolymerization of structural nanomaterial, and self - assembling of structural nanomaterial among the polymer substrate.
