A new resin was synthesized by grafting amino acid onto urea formaldehyde. Cold curing adhesives formulated from this resin were evaluated by preparing 3 ply plywood specimens with populus veneers at high moisture content (MC 12%-20%). The cure behavior of the resin containing catalyst system was followed by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).
