摘要
以对甲酚为原料 ,经过溴化 ,在催化剂 Cu Cl存在下甲氧基化合成了中间体 2 ,6二甲氧基 4甲基苯酚钠 ,不经酸化 ,直接与硫酸二甲酯在水溶剂中反应合成了 3,4 ,5三甲氧基甲苯 ,总收率为 84 %。对 2 ,6二溴4甲基苯酚的甲氧基化机理进行了初步探讨 :认为在该反应中起催化作用的是 CH3ONa与 Cu Cl形成的Na[Cu+ ( OCH3) 2 ]
pCresol was bromnatied and then methoxylated in presence of CuCl to obtain sodium 2,6dimethoxy4methylphenoxide (SDMOMPO). Using water as solvent, 3,4,5trimethoxytoluene was synthesized in 84% of overall yield by reaction of SDMOMPO with dimethyl sulfate without acidification. The mechanism for 2,6 dibromo4methylphenol methoxylation was also discussed. Na[Cu +(OCH 3) 2], which was resulted from the reaction of CH 3ONa with CuCl, was considered to be acted as catalyst in the methoxylation.
