摘要
进入21世纪，人类社会将进一步向多元化、整体化、理性化方向发展．以人地关系理论为基础，探讨人类活动空间分布特征的人文地理学，必将面临新的挑战和发展机遇．本文结合国外人文地理学发展动态和21世纪社会经济发展趋势，指出新时期的人文地理学将朝着综合化、社会化、应用化方向发展．结合中国实际，作者指出，我国的人文地理学应加强理论研究、强化薄弱分支学科、服务地方经济、培养专业人才等几个方面的工作．
Many changes will be taken place in the 21st century,which will offer both oppo rtunities and challenges to the development of human geography.Based on the analysis of global development in the new century,this paper urged that synthetization,socialization and application will be the three trends of future human geography.Accordingly,the author outlined the future tasks of human geography in China:strengthening the theory and branch studies,cultivating researchers,advancing international communications,and so on.
