摘要
地理信息系统的兴起是近20年来地理学发展的一个重大事件，其发展之快、应用之广、影响之深刻引起地理学界的广泛重视。本文简要回顾了地理信息系统的发展过程，并较详细地分析了其在人文地理学中的应用。
The development of Geographic information system has been the most significant event for 20 years. It has been attracted more and more attention of geographers because of its fast development,wide application and far - reaching effect.In this paper, the author reviews the development of GIS and comprehensively analyses the application of GIS in Human geography.
