摘要
长柄象属 Mesagroicus Schoenherr是全北区的属,已记载37种,其中28种产于古北区的中亚细亚和小亚细亚地区,其余产于北美洲,我国尚无记载。近年来作者在鉴定甜菜害虫和整理馆藏标本中,发现我国有两种:一种为新种,另一种为中国新纪录。从它们的寄主和分布来看,有较重要的经济意义,现记述于后。 本属隶于短喙象亚科 Brachyderinae,拿巴象族 Naupactini。体型小,体长约3—6mm,主要特征为:眼靠近头部两侧,额宽于或窄于喙,触角柄节长过眼。
Mesagroictts is a small holarctic genus;it is hitherto unknown from China.Recently the author has found,among our unidentified weevil collection,two species of this genus,one is A new species,and the other:M.angustitestris Faust which is a new record from China.Both are of considerable economic importance.The type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology,Academia Sinica.The new species is described as follows.Mesagroicus fuscus sp.nov.(fig.1)This new species is closed to M.viduatus Faust,but easily distinguished by the lacking of any trace of tubercle on pronotum,fhe prominent eyes and the incurved fore tibia.Male.aedeagus as shown in the fig.Length 4.0-4.6mm.breadth 1.8-2.3 mm.Holotype,allotype,Shanxi(Jindongnan prefecture Mar.-May,1979,by Liu Jubao,paratypes:7 6,ditto.3 2,Shaanxi(Wugong county)1963 1,Shaanxi(Ganquan county),.V.5.1971,by Yang Jikun.Host:beet,alfalfa.
