家兔盆神经断端浸泡辣根过氧化酶(HRP),标记分布于盆腔内脏的传出和传入神经元。节前神经元主要位于S_2~S_4脊髓中间灰质的外侧边缘,形成中间外侧核(IML)。IML具有主部和索部之分,主部细胞向背外方可延伸至后角基底部外侧的网状结构内。标记的脊神经节细胞位于S_2~S_4节,与相应脊髓节段内的标记细胞数成比例,内脏传入纤维占据整个背外侧束,在脊髓内的分布范围较IML广泛。除目前公认的2条侧副径路外,作者还发现了中间侧副径路,位于后角中份,主要终止于第Ⅰ、Ⅱ板层。
Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) applied to the central stump of the transected pelvic nerve of rabbits labelled afferent and efferent neurons innervating the pelvic viscera. Preganglionic neurons in the sacral intermediolateral nucleus (IML) were located on the lateral border of the ipsilateral intermediate gray matter in S_2~S_4. The IML cells could be divided into pars funicularis and pars principalis from which some cells extended dorsolaterally into the reticular formation. Pelvic nerve afferent axons carried HRP to neurons in the dorsal root ganglia (DRG), and then by the way of transganglionic transport to the spinal cord. The numbers of DRG cells correlated with the numbers of IML cells in corresponding spinal cord segments(3-5:1). Labelled primary afferent fibers were prominent in the sacral segments and were also observed in decreasing numbers within two to three segments beyond the rostral and caudal limits of the IML. Primary afferents were found throughout Lissauer's tract. Apart from the lateral and medial collateral pathways, which were demonstrated by other investigators, a third one—the intermediate collateral pathway was found. The overlap of afferent and efferent elements within the spinal cord suggests the existence of monosynaptic connections between visceral afferents and preganglionic neurons.
