摘要
本人在加拿大进修学习期间 ,观摩了温哥华道格拉斯学院 (DouglasCollege)和陴斯省理工学院 (BCIT)的ESL (EnglishasaSecondLanguage)教学的整个过程。给我留下深刻印象的是演示报告对学生口头表达能力的快速提高。传统的教学注重语言知识的输入 ,而演示报告注重的是语言知识的利用和输出。本文着重阐述演示报告的类型、制作。
Based on the ESL practice in Vancouver,Canada,this paper introduces the effectiveness of Visual Presentation in improving ones oral expression.Traditional instruction focuses on “input” of English knowledge while Visual Presentation focuses on “output” or “reproduction”,which greatly stimulates the need of new “input” and comprehensive use of past experience and knowledge. This paper also explains the various presentation styles,the evaluation and difficulties.Presentation not only improves ones speaking in a short time but also betters ones nonverbal competence on public speaking occasions.
